Ariba Network® Transition

Join Us on the Ariba Network

We’re moving to the Ariba Network to provide an efficient electronic transaction experience that will allow us to collaborate seamlessly with suppliers.

We understand that Ariba will be new to some of you and will change the way you normally work with us, but it will benefit you in the long run.

Supplier onboarding began in June 2019 and will continue through 2022. Ariba went live with Canada Retail, Loveland Products Inc (LPI), Dyna-Gro, OreGro, and Evergro in December 2019. US Retail regions and the Loveland, Colorado corporate office will be enabled at a future date. We will follow up with more emails detailing next steps and timing.

To help you with the transition and better understand the business processes required we’ve provided some more information and resources.

Moving to Ariba

  1. You’ll receive a Project Notification Letter from the Procurement Systems Sustainment Team asking you to join the Ariba Network. Please transact with us as you normally would until you receive this letter.
  2. Attend a Supplier Summit.
  3. Register with the Ariba Network.
  4. You will need to accept the Trading Relationship Request from the Ariba Network to transact with the business. You will have access to Nutrien Ag Solutions Supplier Information Portal with relevant training material through your Ariba account.
  5. Complete technical details on your Ariba profile such as Routing IDs and ACH account numbers — it sounds complicated but we’re here to help you.
  6. Start selling your products and service on Ariba!

If you have any questions on the Ariba onboarding process, please contact Retail Indirect Procurement or the Procurement Systems Sustainment Team.

Most of our suppliers will transition to a Standard Account with the Ariba Network which is free and easy to use. Some key strategic suppliers will benefit from an Enterprise Account, which will incur fees.  We’ll work with you to help you decide if an Enterprise Account is right for your business.

There are no fees associated with registering an account on the Ariba Network. During this registration process, you will be able to link your account with Nutrien Ag Solutions.

Standard Accounts have limited capabilities, transaction volumes, and spend. Enterprise accounts have all the features of a Standard Account and additional premium functionality. Enterprise accounts assess fees based on transaction volume and spend.

Read the SAP Ariba Side by Side Comparison of Standard and Enterprise Accounts or our Nutrien Ag Solutions Supplier Guide.

After receiving a Project Notification Letter, you will receive an invitation to a Supplier Summit. This will be a web-based event to explain the transition to Ariba and what it means for you, featuring a live Q&A with experts from Nutrien Ag Solutions and SAP Ariba. Attending the Summit will also facilitate your registration on the Ariba Network.

After you are registered, you will have access the Nutrien Ag Solutions Supplier Information Portal, which will contain a wide variety of resources and training material for the transition to Ariba.

Notice To Current Suppliers

In the coming months, we will be transitioning some of our indirect procurement activities and suppliers to the Ariba Network. Please continue to transact with us as you normally would (Indirect Supplier ‘How to Get Paid’ ) until we contact you with a Project Notification Letter.

During the transition, we will be transacting on multiple systems, so some suppliers may be receiving purchase orders on multiple systems. It will be a growing pain, but it is a temporary one and we appreciate you joining us on this journey.
